From Both Sides Now: How Orthopedic Surgeons View Doctors of Chiropractic

Abstract: According to recent research from the Toronto-based Institute for Work & Health (IWH), orthopedic surgeons hold a wide range of attitudes toward chiropractic—from positive to negative—and surgeons at both extremes point to research literature as the source of their opinions. This study, led by Jason Busse, DC, was published in the Dec. 1, 2009 edition of Spine and is based on a survey sent to 1,000 orthopedic surgeons from Canada and the United States. Doctors of chiropractic need to read what they had to say.
