Adding a chiropractor to a sports medicine team is an important decision. The first step is to determine whether the chiropractor will be equal to or report to the team medical doctor. The state board of chiropractic examiner’s scope of practice, the chiropractor’s postgraduate certifications, the ability to work in a team setting, and experience working with various sports are components to consider for a successful integration.
