Effects of twelve weeks of capsaicinoid supplementation on body composition, appetite and self-reported caloric intake in overweight individuals

Appetite, 03/20/2017

This study was performed to analyzed if 3 months of capsaicinoid (CAP) supplementation influenced appetite, body composition and metabolic health markers. This information proposes that H–CAP supplementation decreases self–reported energy consumption after 3 months of supplementation, and L–CAP supplementation also decreases waist: hip ratio. Longer–term impacts of capsaicinoid supplementation on basal insulin and cholesterol levels warrant further examination.
